Enrolled in E-85 Army!

Well a big thanks goes out to Shane at DB Performance here in Minnesota for everything. The new cams sound pretty mean, nice and bubbly.

New Mods in addition to ones in the sig:

Perrin 3-port
AMS UICP
Cosworth MX1 cams
Deatschwerks 1000cc injectors
Stock wastegate tightening
E-85

DB put my cams in yesterday and today tuned up the car with some corn power and here are the results. They are pretty much what I was hoping for. The stock turbo is just too small I think, so that is going to have to be the next to go. I could probably pick up a little bit more on this turbo by finishing my bolt on's but I just don't think it will be worth it spending more money on tuning for just a little bit.

Clutch will be next in line before any power upgrades. Along with an Evo 9 clutch master cylinder.

Enjoy...

And for fun the dynojet numbers (to make everyone realize how low this dyno reads), aka shootout mode..

Old dyno:

Thanks DB!

Welcome to the E85 army

No fuel pump? We maxed the stock one on the last 10 we tuned

Oh right, forgot. Yes I put a walboro 255 in there. Good catch.

Yea, he has a walbro fuel pump. His stock downpipe and stock FMIC might be hurting the top end power/flow a bit.

Nice power. That's a serious boost taper. I figured it would at least hold 21 psi to redline.

It might have held that much without the cams. As DB pointed out, cams will actually lower your boost up top due to the increased flow, so maybe if the stock cams were in there, 20ish might have been possible. The stocker is just too small.

E-85 feels great, the car is starting to wake up for sure I haven't tested it out a ton yet, I fear for my clutches life (stock clutch still) and plus I got it late last night and its raining today. But the car feels great.

The smell is different, I miss my old pump gas smell, i loved how that smelled, but I think its worth not smelling as good

Didn't want to make a new thread yet since we didn't get to finish tuning, two couplers popped off and one was the LICP behind the bumper and we didn't have time to take the bumper off and replace it and put the bumper back on. We also think the top one was leaking a bit the whole time, which hopefully explains the not that great psi at peak (FP upgraded actuator, might need to switch to a dom2 one).

I am heading back sunday, my tuner is nice enough to meet me then NO bumper will be on in case we need to get at it again.

Here was the last good run, looking promising. Remember baseline for an x is like 210 on this dyno.

As you can see, losing about 700 rpms over stock at 25psi.

I'll post a vid and new graphs sunday, hopefully everything goes smooth. Still on stock clutch! HOLDING FINE! that is why we didn't boost 30psi+.

^Yea, but didn't want to start a new thread just yet since should be able to get that number higher. This is on e70 this time too, instead of e85
