You still have a Cat on the car? High Flow or not it is hurting you.

Final Drive will change the whole car, I want one for my IX

He shifted into 5th...that will kill traps and E.T., 120+ traps would come easy with a new final drive or raising the rev limiter to 8500. Congrats OP...very nice numbers.

How hard is it to install the cams? I'm looking into buying a set when my Red gets here.

Yeah, the clutch was slipping . What kind of traps would you expect for a full weight Evo X with 451? I'm thinking mid 120s with a good clutch, and not having to shift to 5th.

I would try it without cams on E85 or race gas first. Not sure how necessary they were since the stock ones are decent. Install included springs too, but didn't take much longer than Evo VIIIs, just different.

Numbers look pretty good.
You have a cat in that is perhaps killing some of the HP.

Kelford 214-B Cams
DW 1000cc inj.
AMS Fuel Rail
AMS inline pump
AMS MBC (all the way in)
AMS front motor mount
AMS Cold air intake
HKS WGA
UR intank Walbro kit
highflow cat
FMIC, O2 DP, CBE
ACT HDSS clutch

As you can see from this baseline the day before, bumping the boost from 25psi on 93oct to 31psi on E85 gained over 79whp and 89ftlbs:

I took it to the track last night, but the HDSS slipped pretty bad, so I left before getting a good run in. Short shifting and finishing in 5th gave me 117mph traps, so I expect mid 11s and 120s once I can get the power down. I'm also planning a final drive upgrade soon, so we decided to leave the limiter at 7900 to be safe.

Thanks.

Not sure what you mean here? Do you consider that high or low for a Red?

Yes, I'm sure it's not helping, but not sure yet how much it hurts. I'll probably keep it for now though because friends of mine have been ticketed here for no cat and I don't need any extra attention. The power feels great as is, just have to put it down now .

It does seem to spool faster with E85, but for things like autocross, the stock turbo does better. On the street now, it's a nice compromise between stock responsiveness and big turbo power.
