Its making 31psi?? The boost control solenoid is at 100% by redline, that is all the boost it will run, which is normal and typical for an FPRed.

Yes, the larger exhaust side should help out with power.

So, 30whp/10wtq gain by switching to ecu-controlled boost and a little extra tuning? Nice I say! Gains are mostly up top, but that's where taper rears its ugly head.

This is some good power and is what I am looking at getting once I start modding my car.

Congratulations on the numbers!

The two runs aren't directly comparable because of 3rd gear vs. 4th gear pulls.

That said, the improvement in the top end was confirmed by a few 1/4 mile runs. Trapped now at 121.5mph vs. 117mph on the previous tune. This is still shifting to 5th, same clutch, etc.

I am glad I took your advice and had AMS put the same setup on my car. Nice power curve Hope that new trans holds up... I have got to get mine to Shep. When do they from E-85 to E-70 by you? They still have not done it in Illinois and I am worried it may have problems starting when it gets cold ?

Cool, glad to see someone else running this! I actually haven't received the built trans from Shep yet. The stocker is still going strong. Transfer case is another story. Make sure you check or change your TC fluid often. There are no built options for it yet, so gotta keep the stock unit happy.

E70 should be here soon. I haven't had any cold start issues yet on E85 down to 30 degrees. E70 should be good to zero or lower. I'm hoping for at least another month before the bitter cold comes...

Man, E70 has been here for like 2 months now, lol.

I used E70 to do my basically 400whp dynojet runs, seemed to work fine still.

Also I have had no cold start problems at all, my car starts like a champ every morning. However running cold is another story, I think its the cams, but the car tends to ride pretty rough until it warms up. Then it runs great.

Cold timing tables need adjusting it sounds like

Yeah, mine starts great but needs to warm up before I drive too. I also think it's the cams, although we did cams and E85 together, so hard to say. I just think of it as my car's little reminder not to drive it cold, lol.

I did get my first nastygram last week though from one of my neighbors for letting it idle in my driveway for 5-10 minutes .

Any comments on that
Well we are pretty much in-line with these numbers if you correct for our dyno. A previous tune made 411whp @ around 27/28 psi with a red and a blouch just made 390whp @ 27ish psi and Went 11.79 @ 117.5 stock clutch/cams/full weight 1.85 60ft banging on the 8,000rpm limiter in 4th.

I will have to say the two turbos are pretty darn close up to 30psi given the mod list and then the red will start to take over after 30psi+.

These numbers are solid for the OP.

My tuner dropped in the cold start map, where it doesn't affect timing when it's cold, so its not pulling all the timing. It helped a decent amount, but its kind of hit or miss. Some times when its cold it will work alright, other times it starts bucking if i am riding cold. I never boost or drive hard when its cold, but a lot of times i don't have time to sit and wait for it to idle.

Mine doesn't like driving in the cold either, but that's with 93-oct and a cammed Evo 8. I've been tuned by a few different people and each tune has acted differently in the cold. The cams & injectors started the cold-drivability problem, but the tune can correct it. It takes a decent amount of time, though. You only get one chance every few hours to test changes to cold drivability because you have to let the car cool off completely in-between.

Remote start helps. I even use my remote start when it's nice out just for a couple minutes to get the engine warmed up a bit before I get in and beat on it.
