Beautiful power. Brian knows his stuff! Always enjoy studying his graphs...

Here is an mx1 power band with a red @ 26.5psi/93 Octane

FP Red @ 26.5psi/93 Octane

Here is a kelford 214b on the stock turbo @ 32psi/93 Octane

Stock Turbo @ 32psi/93 Octane

Here is our evo x blouch 2.0/mx1 cams/25psi:

Here is another clients car HTA3586/Kelford 214b/25psi/93Octane:

Just throwing out some data. I personally feel the 214b are the way to go. At the time we chose the mx1 for our personal car since nothing else was available. We will be switching out for the 214b's or hopefully a more aggressive kelford grind when available.

Again, sweet looking curve and power on GST's dyno. That car must feel insane!

You are saying the Kelfords B's are the way to go on a larger turbo and the MX1 are for a stock sized turbo?

From what I have gathered, big boost on a the stocker will broaden out the mid-range big time. I feel the 214b's are the way to go right now over any cam selection on the evo x for any size turbo. Time will tell when more selections are available and put through real testing.

Thanks for the data DG Motors I don't have any local guys with cams so your info is great. I was more leaning on the Kelford 214B's also because of the springs and stuff but I'm just worried the install will be lots of money.

Depends where you go but yes cams+valve springs are a costly install. I always advise to install springs/retainers on any cam install so you can save some cash down the road. Good luck with your decision.

Very good point here, I kind of regret not just throwing in some springs/retainers with mine.

I am keeping the factory rev limit for now. But when i decide to up it, i will pull the head and build it fully, springs/retainers and valve job of some sort with new valves to make it worth while to pull it off.

If you don't plan on going too big on the turbo the MX1's will probably work great and you don't have to do springs/retainers. Try and keep your end goals in mind. I know most our goals change when we get bored though so its hard

Yes, as the MX1's will "probably" work great we are talking about rpm if you are going to be taking your car to the drag strip. Remember 116-118mph will have you banging off an 8,000rpm rev limit in 4th gear. Springs and Retainers now will allow you to break into the 120+mph with out having the need to throw 5th gear, change your tires, and or gear ratio....It won't only save you cash, but a big deal of aggravation at the track if you don't live around the corner from one. For us New Yorker's It's a minimum of 4-6 hours there and back....

Just had this happen to a good customer of ours in PA. Blouch 2.0 (390whp) 11.79 @ 117.5 banging off an 8,000rpm rev-limit. Stock cams. We will be upgrading the cams and valve springs shortly...

Please start your own thread in the future instead of piggybacking off another vendor's thread. Thanks.

I wasn't piggybacking and never intended to Hi-jack the thread. I was just giving out some data to the customer who was asking about a certain camshaft selection. Thank You for making my own thread though

Can you please be more specific? Do you mean the Kelford 272 for 8/9 against the Kelford 214b for evo X?

Sorry thought it was understood we were talking about the ten cause we are under the X area my appologies.....And no I mean the Kelford Stage 2 272's Vs the 214B's for the Evo X. Im hoping they stack up well b/c im hearing good things from the 214b's. I do plan to go to a larger turbo app which is why i did the stage 2's but was this the wrong cam to select?
