Dom2 + E85 + BlaqOps = 452whp

This customer ran out of single pump the last time he was in the shop. I am finding out the Evo 10's seem to run out of single pumps much sooner than the 8/9's.

Anyway. Thanks to BlaqOps, there is now a progressive (non-hobbs switch) Evo 10 double pumper in the car. It almost ended up working too well as the AFR's went from 12.4 AFR (with the single pump @ 50 base) to 9.6 AFR @ 50base with no other changes than the BlaqOps double pumper system! Guess it works!

2008 Evo 10 GSR

Mods:

Ultimate racing downpipe with integrated 02 housing
Ultimate racing test pipe
Perrin dual tip catback
DW 1000cc injectors
FuelLab Adjustable FPR
Boomba fuel rail
Aeromotive inline fuel filter
BlaqOps Progressive double pumper fuel system
AMS FMIC
AEM intake
Nisei Intercooler piping
Perrin 3port boost solenoid
Forge wastegate actuator
Blouch Dominator 2 turbo
GST Motorsports tune (using EcuFlash)
E85

Stock cams

452whp / 352wtq

29 psi to 6800, then tapering to 27.5@ 7500rpm

For reference a stock 10 puts down approx 22X whp on our dyno and this Evo put down 380 whp with the stock turbo on E85 and 320 whp on 91 oct with the stock turbo.

This same car on the stock Evo 10 turbo on E85 vs it now on the Dom2:

There we go, I have been waiting for these results

Congrats on the numbers, 450whp on that dyno is very solid.

So it sounds like the Blaqops worked out pretty well, I have been talking with the owner about it and am leaning towards getting it for when I throw my red in. Any tuning difficulties? This is the MAF based one right? I guess my main concern is safety/reliability, what are your thoughts on the system? I would just love to get a little more insight from a third party, because most of the local tuners to me suggested just using the hobb switch one. WOuld you say this is better than the hobb switch system?

Thanks for any info and if this is off topic, I am sorry, I PM'ed you and didnt get anything. You can take this to PM if you want, but i think a mini review on the blaqops would be sweet.

450whp from a dom2 damn. Me likey! Look at the gains over 5500 they're insane! Interesting that the peak torque didn't go up like it does on the stock frame evo8/9 turbos, all of the gains are up top.

Nice work!

The car feels great thank you once again Bryan. I would also recommend the BlaqOps kit to anyone. The car feels so smooth with it because it's a progressively controlled so you don't have the second pump turning on at max right away.

I am guessing peak power won't change much if you rev it more, the torque looked to be falling off at peak rpm quite a bit and same with power up top. Maybe a little more could be made with just revs, but I think Cams would be a better choice

Yeah I might out cams next but I can't decide between the Cosworth MX1 or the Kelford 214B. I think I'm going to research it a little bit more and make a decision early next year.

Well, the vendor that started the thread asked I separate them. The posts are still intact, they are in a new thread of their own in this same forum.

Nah, thats cool, I agree the huge amount of other vendor dyno graphs should have gotten moved, that was excessive.

I was more referring to the cam discussion, which is partly in here now i think.

Regardless, nice work GST!

Sorry if you thought I was Hi-jacking Bryan. Never intended to! To the customer, enjoy your power, that is one of sickest power bands, curves I have seen to date on that turbo.

No problem. I'm all for sharing info, but I just think different vendor/dyno plots in another vendor/dyno plots thread like that can be a recipe for confusion.
