Evo 10 MR with Dom 2 - adds testpipe - retuned

UPDATE:

Swapped out the Forge WGA back to the Blouch WGA and ended up holding boost all the way across and picked up:

+ 28whp

I had tuned this MR with the Dom 2.0 earlier and he came back in to get retuned for a testpipe. Great gains!

2008 Evo MR SST

Mods:

Blouch Dominator 2.0
Forge WGA
ETS tubular exhaust manifold
TBE
Testpipe
DW1000cc injectors
Walbro pump upgrade w/ inline filter
IC pipes
FMIC
GST 3port boost solenoid
GST custom dyno tune using EcuFlash and custom SST tables
91 oct
24.5 psi

341 whp / 294 wtq

Solid is with testpipe and dotted was with hiflow cat:

I believe the Forge WGA isn't tensioned correctly as it was dropping boost as you can see with the power falloff up top. We are having him come in to tension it down more and retune it hopefully with more boost up top.

For reference on our dyno:

Stock 03/04 evo = 190-210whp

Stock 05 evo = 210-215whp

Stock 06 evo = 220-230whp

Stock 08 evo = 215-230whp

Stock 09 Ralliart = 190-199whp

Nice gain from swapping out the high flow cat with a test pipe.

It feels great, pulls real hard (smooth) especially the extra TQ! Im actually very happy with my RRE Rally Cat and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to go the TP route.

Im actually going to drop the Forge WGA, and go back to the stock Blouch WGA. Don't want any further issues!

Bryan, LMK when its good for you to look over the WGDC and polish tune it!

I love this car; its a fantastic example of step-by-step gains gained from each piece of a great setup.

From: Tx,
do you really need to re-tune it just for the test pipe? or will it be the same gains even w/o a re tune?

You will run into Overboosting issues if you decide to go WOT.

I love it too!

Yea removing the cat really added more up top HP/TQ then I thought it would. Guess HFC really do bog down potential HP/TQ in the EVO X. Can't wait to get the WGA adjusted and then fine tune the Duty Cycle. Should make just a hair more up top.

o2 Long DP from Ultimate Racing.

As for plans for whats next, probably Cams, and SSP's Stage 2 500whp package (Clutch Packs, Cooler, Pan, Fluid, Filter, Temp Gauge). As for tracking it, when I bought it I originally didn't want too, but now I'm second thinking it. I figure once the trans is built, the car will be ready for E85 High PSI tune and will hopefully be in the 400+whp area. Have to though start looking at Diffs and other drive train issues. We will see.

That's what I was thinking, literally... Because most HFC's claim they're "JUST LIKE A TESTPIPE, ONLY LEGAL".

So is there any HFC that actually works that good?

I was literally set on getting a 300cel AMS HFC for my car but after seeing this graph... No thank you.

So adding a Dom 2.0 will get you about 30WHP?

"This MR put down 302 whp with the stock turbo with same mods (minus the ETS manifold) for comparison. This MR put down 208whp/225wtq 100% bone stock for reference."

Oh man, I didn't realize you were still on stock cams too! GST has been pumping out the evoX dyno charts lately....that should net you another 25whp pretty easily, 375whp on pump gas on an SST car, wut? zomg, the world is now upside down! Sounds fantastic.

I do not care for the forge actuators, we have had nothing but issues.

the dom2 and our BBX come with new upgraded actuators

GST

In the MODS lists you list "custom SST tables" are these tables meant to handle to torque increase?

With the stock clutch pack in the SST are you experiencing any slipping/ how close do you think you are to the getrags 347ft/lb torque limit?

For comparo purposes do you happen to have any of the stock torque numbers from the 08 Evo.
