Top Level Performance + AMS/Ets combo "crushes" the stock turbo X

My hat comes off for the great parts combination on this Evo X. With a good understanding of how Evos work, Sam from CT's "ECT Car club", decided to install the parts that 'get the most from his combo'.

Subject vehicle:
2008 GSR
AMS intake
AMS upper ic pipe
AMS Lower ic pipe
AMS ic
ETS divorced o2 housing (vta)
test pipe
Wally 255 pump

Stock catback
Stock motor
Stock cams
93 Pump
27-28psi spike down to 19-20psi
E-Spec tuned ECU

357hp 374tq !!!






This car also has a cockpit controlled dump... It helped spool-up but boost still fell off hard....

368hp 384tq !!!





A pretty hot combination,,, I really enjoyed this one. I love enthusiastic guys on a mission to make power. It drives me to unlock more and more SAFE power out of mitsu's new star,,,, 4b11t FTW!!!

Great numbers!!

How much of a roll do you think the VTA played in this?

To me this just proves that a "slightly" larger turbo should be able to get us to 400whp without cams on 93 octane pump and still have great spool...

Come on turbo engineers!

We've done that already,,, Contact Robert at fp and order your RED asap!

I told him to order up the FPred already, lol. He is worried about lag, lag is so over played on the boards, its not bad at all.

Good numbers on pump.

wow, took me a ton of mods and i never even got there with my sti. glad to know that stock turbo can make these kinds of numbers

these posts are getting silly,

the numbers are nothing diffrent then the other 135,000,000 evos that have the same mods

i put down 367 hp , i wouldnt say its crushing !! LOL

I believe the crushes refers to the crushing of the bov...I think he forgot to state that, lol.

This is my Evo being dyno by E-spec. When it came to search for a tuner, im very **** on how they work and what knowledge they have. It took 3 months of solid research to see who can tune my evo x at the end i ended with E-spec. Im glad i made the choice..... Erkel is very professional and down to earth just like any other guy, we all put our pants on one leg at a time, unlike other tuners i know, they think too much of themselves. But what truly got me going with Erkel is that you can tell he takes all tunning to heart and how excited he gets when the car responds the way it should. Every pull he made he came out of the car and went over the pull with me to let me know what the car was doing and what he is trying to have the car do. This is my second evo and i have never experience this kind of treatment by any other tuner....ever...so if you still have second thoughts about going to anyone...call erkel @toplevel....believe me you wont be dissapointed!!!

As i stated to Erkel this is phase one for me, i will be back next year for a retune for FPred,FullRace Manifold,Cams,Headstuds and DW1000 injectors. All this parts talking also bring another thing about Erkel....He IS NOT a product pusher.....he listen to my corcerns and gave suggestions.....IM E-SPEC FOR LIFE!!! if you like to talk about my experience with him feel free to PM.....
