Nice to see more FPblacks getting tuned...enjoy the car! The stock block is stout but by no means unbreakable...be careful.

Looks like a lot of fun. Congrats on the added power.

Not to stray to far off topic, but I remember a point where AMS stated (personally over the phone) that a Green turbo couldn't damage a stock block.

Now if what your are saying is accurate at 360ft/lbs being the safe limit, I will have to detune my Green as I am constantly getting 400ft/lbs around 4k or so. Very intresting!

We have been leaving torque low on the stock motor just to be safe. With all the people blowing out there motors with the high torque we just dont push it.

There is no set number that we know of that is the "magic" number for when they let go, we just leave it low on the stock block, and 360 ft/lbs is what I felt was a good number to shoot for.

Hope that helps,

Mitch M

I understand Mitch. No worries.

This is just the first I heard of a tuning shop publically voicing this. Good to know, time to detune

Thanks for the confirmation!

Not sure if you're tuned on their new Mustang dyno or not. It doesn't read like a Dynojet. You might be right where you should be.

To the OP, you might as well go with the FIC1680. The 2200s can be a pita to dial in. I'm on my 3rd set of upgraded injectors so don't feel bad about that.

so full boost at about 4.6k...

what rpm do you hit 25 psi at? (hard to tell from that dyno pic)

Hard to say Mlomker, my tune is a combination of efforts by myself and Clpse3gt using virtual dyno. Others have claimed VD to be very accurate...so IDK.
