You can crush the stock and Works BOV's a few mm where the distance from the reference port to the body of the BOV is reduced to about half. If you crush it all the way down it will indeed hold more boost but the BOV will get very fluttery at part throttle and lower RPM's making that choo choo choo sound due to being too stiff.

I also tried the Tial QR recirculating model and on paper it looked like a great setup. Probably works like a champ and doesn't leak at all for WOT driving such as a drag race.

Unfortunately for my GTX30 turbo with oversized compressor wheel compared to the exhaust side it cause some crazy part throttle issues between 15 and 20 psi where the spring was too stiff. After dropping down from the 11 psi to the 8 psi spring it was livable but once you hit that 15-20 psi range on a road course trying to get part throttle in sweeping corners, the car tended to rocket past that area to full boost or buck the car if you tried to modulate the throttle. Dialing back the MIVEC helped somewhat but I really didn't want to reduce spool just because the BOV was acting wierd.

If you do some searching you should get a good amount of info on the subject. I may test out that Synapse valve, while I read both good and bad reviews on it, some people might not be hooking it up correctly.
I haven't had any issues on my synapse, I have the big one though, not the new DV one.

I have run it up to 38psi on my 2.0L setup and now up to 29-30psi on my 2.2L. Works like a champ, I'd recommend it.

However your style of driving (aka racing) might be tougher to satisfy then my street/strip style.

I meant to post this last week when it happened but things have been very crazy so I am doing it now. I got a new BoV (Tial I think drawing a blank since I am VERY FRUSTRATED right now) and radiator (koyo) and was all set for the tune. Everything is going good making more power and boost then boom. smoke. all bad. Check the engine everything is good I have been running the proper oils, ect. The FP Green decided to stop working and the customer support I have been receiving has been less than what it is expected when you drop that much money anywhere. I also placed the order mid March and just received the invoice TODAY. Just very frustrated, disappointed, and I don't know who else to tell so thank you for listing to and putting up with my whining and *****ing. I post all the details later.

Good news the same day this happened my 04 WRX got put back on the road after going through a rebuild that took from 2008-now. That WRX is a part of me, beyond personal. It saved me, almost killed me, and drove my dad insane... the Evo he does not even try to understand but he laughs.
