2011 EVO X stage 2 by EFI Logics

I am making this post to forewarn everyone to be careful when choosing who tunes your car and to applaud EFI Logics in Bethel. I recently made the mistake of picking a small local tuner to tune my brand new 2011 EVO X after installing a full turboback exhaust. The guy road tuned my car for a cheap price and needless to say I had a bad experience. This guy took many hours driving my car on the streets. One night he had it until 2am, and the next night for another few hours. After all this time I expected a decent job. However, when I got into my car and took it for a few pulls I was very disappointed. The car pulled no better than stock. Complaining to the guy, he offered to “fix” the tune by having me go to a shop to use their dyno and dish out more money. At this point I had zero confidence in this guy’s EVO tuning abilities. After waiting a few weeks and trying to figure out what to do, my boyfriend recommended me to EFI Logics in Bethel and made an appointment for me. My appointment was earlier today and the guys there were great! After talking with Chris and telling him my story he threw it on the dyno for baseline numbers. It made a depressing 254hp/251tq. He installed a Grimmspeed BCS, retuned the car and within 40 minutes I gained 60hp. My car now makes 310/302 on a stage 2 tune. The car is completely different and I am extremely pleased with EFI. Not only are they respectable enough to not bash the other tuner, they are great guys that KNOW what they are doing. I was nothing but smiles leaving the shop and I am 100% confident in their tune. They are a great shop and I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone in the area. Thanks again EFI

Isn't that kind of low for a stage 2?

i hate stages, that isn't bad for a mild tune on an x. I love our 91 octane tunes at altitude they are around 10-15% lower before correction kicks in, it's all relative. Glad you got your car fixed, bummer on the bad experience.

Stock x's put down 235/240 on our mustang, getting to 300 on "stage 2" is the low norm, but thats at 4500feet on 91...

great job on selecting them. they are a big subaru facility, but chris has the knowledge to tune ANYTHING and make it powerful. you should see the amount of cars they have on their dyno.

Sucks you had an experience like that... curious if the tuner actually changed anything?

My 2011 GSR put down 250hp/250tq in VD bone stock. I did a turbo back exhaust and GS 3-port for better boost control and tuned it myself. The car now makes 325hp/335tq @ 27psi falling to 18psi by 7500rpms.

Congrats on the new numbers though!

I'm wondering if it's the weather though. Your numbers seem more akin to Stage 2.

The two pulls were on the same day - we did add a GS EBCS because we've found they do tune out much better - that's why we try to keep them in stock.

From the way my car runs after being tuned by EFI a couple of years ago by the original owner, I can honestly say these guys must know what they are doing. The car runs solid despite being tuned such a long time ago and is a pleasure to drive. My X has similar mods to the original post but put down a bit more power on their Mustang Dyno (332hp/321tq). OP, glad EFI was able to take care of your car.

27psi, keep in mind, the car is entirely stock, just a turboback.

Our dyno does read lower than most as well. ~310whp is about right for this car on our dyno.

Why does everyone get wrapped up in numbers on the dyno? Peak or not.

The car made 254 --> 310, ~50 WHP increase after being tuned, that's what matters.

to EFI for sorting out the tune.
