MAP EF3 Tuned by Rick @ Rallinspired

Adam at MAP was gracious enough to sell me a MAP EF3 turbo for my 2011 Evo X. I had it installed and all my tuner had to say was wow.
Mod List
ETS Intake
ETS 4" Intercooler with pipes
ETS Recirc Downpipe
ETS Test Pipe
ETS V2 Cat Back
3-port
MAP EF3 Turbo non-surge housing
GSC S2 Cams and springs
MAP Fuel Pump Kit
FIC 1100cc Injectors

A few notes on my dyno graph. Both cars are on CA 91 Pump. #1 on the bottom is a car with identical mods but with FP Black and Tomei Pro cams. My car is #2 and #3 with MAP EF3 and GSC S2 cams. On the actual chart, the two lines clustered together are my car and single line is the black. To Michael at ETS, Adam and Chris at MAP, Rick at Rallinspired, Robert and Jimmy at GKM Garage.

Yes, also their dyno reads hella low. About 60-80 less than RRE.

what were your #'s before this turbo so we have some comparison?

edit: also, if you could do a virtual dyno pull that would be awesome.

Why? He already posted real dyno results.

uh yea...with no base numbers to compare to so they really mean nothing to me. The only thing I can gauge from his graph is spool up and boost holding ability. VD offers a common playing ground for #'s as long as it's used properly. No nonsense of comparing between very low / very high reading dynos and dyno type wars.

How do I do a virtual pull? I don't have any baseline dyno but 2011s generally dyno at about 215-220.

BTW, the main reason of this isn't number bragging but to show the comparison of the EF3 and the FP black. 500 rpm sooner spool for only 15 less peak hp? I'll take it anyday. The EF3 is supposed to be on the same playing ground as the FP Red.

^Impressive indeed!

It sounds like that dyno reads similar to a DynoDynamics.

So on a different dyno, this car could make 60whp+ more....what do you consider the "REAL" results?

Also, if you had a strong understanding of math, you would know that the formulas VD uses for computing torque based off of speed over time, with weight and tire diameter etc actually produce very accurate numbers. (*again, when used correctly) They're all simple equations. My last tune was on CBRD's dyno and my VD #'s were within +/-5. Cobb has a similar feature on their Accessports too I believe.

I was asking the OP to post a virtual dyno chart up, not you. If you don't like it, it doesn't matter... a lot of people like to see it as a common ground for comparison.

You need a tactrix cable and evoscan to log, or an accessport. Then download the Virtual Dyno software, drag and drop log .csv file, input your weight and bam.

Yea the spool looks pretty awesome! Can you get E85 where you're at?

I don't have a tactrix cable or evoscan so that's not possible. One of these days, I'll putt over to RRE for a dyno there.

In my area, there is no E85 but I am able to get it if I drive a bit. That's the main reason I did not tune on it but we may try a 100 octane tune and see what it makes. As you can see on the chart, it wants to keep pulling but stock block and low octane don't allow it to.
