Low compression with higher boost is a thing of the past. You do have to be careful when running higher boost with pump gas but with e85 the cooling properties allow you to run more boost without issue.
My car was breaking up on the dyno because my plug gap was too big, I dropped it to .018" and it runs flawless now. I know this isn't a real dyno but see how smooth it is after the fix
Ignore me running outta fuel, next project.

For GIANT *** turbo drag cars, most still run lower compression. But street/track cars are all moving toward higher comp for e85 cars. You do run hotter combustion temps with the higher comp compared to just more boost but as I said, e85 overcomes that. There are two theories for this, and the new hotness is higher compression, just look into the evo 8/9 build threads, almost all are now 10:1 or higher. I have seen some at 11.5:1 before even. You can really add to a turbo's power output with higher comp. Since I knew I wanted to push stock frame, the only way for more power was higher compression as it can only run so much boost. If I had a 62mm turbo or bigger then I could probably just run 40psi but I don't, I like to run 30psi ish and be efficient.
For reference, on my 2.0L 9:1 compression build with an FPblack I ran 38psi and only made 570whp. I have since made other improvements as well, but more displacement and higher comp really helped my setup out.

huh thats odd! but also isnt the ef4 a better turbo then the black? and yah im running the ef4 stock fram but for a lil while after this im gonna go to a big *** turbo lol so i kinda need lower comp pistons idk its just a preference higher comp or not.. but we will see! ill let you know what my number are i got everything possible done lol so i should make into the 600s pretty fast but the dyno will tell! and do u run pump gas on the 10:1 pistons? or just e85? that was also a reason cuz i hurd itll detonate like crazy on pump gas but not so much on e85... its all preference i suppose lol either way great build dont get me wrong!!! lol great numbers! i am just hoping i can do the same!
should be able to ill keep my fingers crossed! and if you need drag racing lessons ill teach you :P haha jkjkjk

Murlo, i have to say that its one of the few vd runs in which i think if you strapped it to the dyno you would back it up 100%, thats some sick power for an ef4 man, looks great, just wath out for that dip at the end ha!
gj!
gj!
I'll fix the dip, just need new injectors.
ya ok thats beyond scary...................
i am just hoping this surge tank is a flawless fuel system i have spent a ton of money on it but Kozmic motorsports swears by it being the best option out there.. for some reason my car made great power on the green and i maxed out 1100cc injectors at 60psi fuel pressure with a second pump that bumped it up to like 80-90... i couldnt even make it to 6k without the IDC's going to 110+ so i am really hoping this black makes a ton of power

Lmfao, 16+ afr lol, i would of **** myself if i seen that, an yah 1100 will max out at around 525 on e85, did it on my ef4. Waiting for the new 1600'S so i can run e85 again along with my double pumper.
