612/510wtq Evo X EF4 E85

Going to make this short and sweet!

I am sure most have seen at least part of my setup, well thanks to Bakaunchi, aka Jon Draenas my car has been running awesome. Right now, as you can see from the dyno vids/charts its breaking up at 6k rpms because plug gap is too big (.023ish) but otherwise making great power with no knock and is smooth like a baby's butt!

A pic on the dyno:

Dynochart!

I typically rev to 8800+, but with the breakup I had to stop early. With smooth pulls I have seen another 20-30whp at almost 9000 rpms. This setup rocks! Thanks MAP, ERL and Bakaunchi for the tune!

I also ran at the track this year for the first time ever...best ET was 12.01ish and best MPH was 124ish...with like a 2.4 60ft..see vids. I need lots of work! Next year I plan to add an SSP catch can and then just drive the damn thing, maybe twin disk CM850 when i need a new clutch and wishlist of MAP rev3 IM and a ported TB.

Traction control was on the first run lol, I am noob! (in the video)

is there any downside to just gaping your plugs to like .019 - .020 right off the bat? even for milder setups than yours?

Nice to see that you are happy with the car.

It's also nice to see that you decided to keep it!

Dunno, I don't think so, but not for sure.

Yea I decided against it unless I get the right offer. For now I will leave stuff up but not actively trying to sell. I figured I would have to spend another 10k on the vette to get it where I want which is still behind the evo...mind as well keep the evo and just enjoy it, it runs great

With that mouch power, you should be running A LOT faster ET's.

I had similar breakup and idle issues with a set of DW1300s that you listed in mods (originally tuned by Bryan at GST), tried a number of things like swapping fuel pump, checked boost leaks, fuel pressure, checked hoses, checked spark plug gaps, etc. finally swapped to FIC1100s and no more breakup or idle issues (final tune by Sean @ FFTEC).

Was it all the time or just on the dyno? Murlo has been on other dynos, on the street, drag track etc w/o this issue...

Yea I've had pretty good success with the DW injectors.

Mine idles/drives great. I only had "breakup" issues above 31psi or so I think. Typically my breakup has only occured on lean spots too, like 12.5ish (still no knock or anything). So I assumed it was just running a bit lean. But on the dyno it was plenty rich and still doing it, as E85 is now E70. But I think it is probably the plugs. So I will gap them down and see what happens. Probably going to have to wait until spring for more testing, putting the evo to bed this weekend.
