Baseline: Stock 2011 MR
Baseline: Stock 2011 MR
Hopped on the dyno while at a track day to find out how healthy the Evo is. Best results were 238hp and 272lbft posted on the first run.
Car: 2011 Evo X MR, stock parts, stock tune
Dyno: Dynojet
4th gear pull on a mid-60s day, 91 octane. The operator seemed a bit rusty with the AWD dyno, and he was not running all the way to redline. The chart does not suggest that the car would put up more than 240hp with the torque curve falling off after 6k. The A/F seems to be insanely rich, especially after the car warmed up on the 2nd and 3rd runs. The Dynojet sensor was maxed out at 10.3 - so I don't know how rich it really was. The car gets 22mpg on the highway so I think this is a WOT specific problem.
How does this compare to other Dynojet numbers for stock cars before a tune?
Thanks for looking

Those numbers are about on par with stock. I did a DynoJet pull at Moore Automotive with my bone stock '12, and put out 265/281 I believe. Tech did a 3rd gear pull though. I need to upload my chart, but I never got around to scanning it. If you're really interested in see it, I can scan it next week when I get back to work
**Edit - you're also on an MR, which I've HEARD puts out a little bit less. I have no backing behind that statement, it's just what I've heard a few times

I actually just had my BONE STOCK 2012 Evo MR on the dyno tonight for some true "baseline" dyno pulls (no tune, no aftermarket parts, nada). I had very similar numbers to yours: 245 whp / 276 wtq

Thanks for the replies. Are your numbers raw or SAE corrected? I believe my numbers were 250/286 raw, which seems more in line with other dynojet numbers.
Also - any idea what A/F was in stock tune?

Sorry, but I don't know what that means. As far as A/F, on the hard-copy of the graph that I got (it's too light to take a pic of) it says "9.81" for A/F value. I think that's just a default value for that particular mustang dyno though...

I would like to see a video of an Evo X with ah AFR of 21 on the dyno. It would be a great explosion...
