400whp Club on 91oct

Posting because I just got the call from Cobb here in SoCal and they finally broke into the 400's with the new FP MHI turbo I had them put in. Torque looks like it comes on much quicker than the other turbo I had them swap out. I'll know more when I pick it up after work. Will also post the official dyno sheet once I have it.

Semi-official numbers: 415whp/350wtq
Not bad for (barely) 91oct pump gas and 24psi.

415/350 on the squirrel **** we call gasoline in California is very impressive, even more so without cams...

Yeah cams were the next item on my list but I'm so happy with how this feels that I don't think I'll drop the cash for them just yet. Although from what I've read, cams will help with the torque curve even more so we'll see...

Here are the official numbers and chart. The surge of power from ~3700 to 7800 is quite invigorating.
Oh and the sound of this turbo spooling up - I've never heard anything like it.

Very nice!

I was hoping to see more dynos of this turbo. Thoughts compared to your previous turbo (which was what by the way...?)?

Trying to gather data comparing the new MHI to EF2 and BBX Lite...

If you have access to E85, you can get there on the stock turbo and maybe some cams. I don't have E85 anywhere closer than 40 miles from home/work so I was crazy happy to see the number so much over 400 on 91oct.

I wasn't impressed like now since a long time here. It's awesome to get 415whp on 91 with that low boost and very quick spool. 415 on 91 is more to be expected from a turbo that would have full boost by at least 4krpm in my experience. Maybe my greater knowledge of viii than X is misleading me though. It's for sure related to MIVEC but not that much.

That said, I'd love to see a 3rd gear street pull of this setup

edit: omg is this mustang dyno numbers? If so I sell my VIII right now

^^ Aw thanks man.

Here's a quick vid I shot on the way to work. Just a first through third pull.
As the description says, my bad for missing first - this thing is so much quicker than when the last turbo was in it and I'm still not used to it.

It's a real wide powerband then. Impressive on a 2.0.
