JDS Evo X: Pro Tune @ Cobb SoCal
JDS Evo X: Pro Tune @ Cobb SoCal
Greetings folks,
I thought I'd share my results from the Pro Tune I had done at Cobb SoCal a few months ago. I went through the OTS map phases over the course of 3 months and was ready for a Pro Tune once I obtained my intercooler kit.
I'll say Jon did a fantastic job tuning the car. As expected, it drives very smoothly and has excellent response with more appropriate A/F ratios. Included in the tune were high and low boost maps with economy modes, valet, and anti-theft maps. Overall I'm very happy with how the car drives and performs in this first phase of the JDS Evo X engine build.

Car: 2013 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X GSR
Fuel: ACN 91 pump gas
Dyno Type: Mustang Dyno
Engine Management: Cobb Accessport V3
Engine Modifications:
- Stock block, head, turbo, O2 housing, and manifolds
- Cobb Tuning 3-port EBCS
- Perrin Performance Intake Hose
- Perrin Performance Intercooler / Piping
- Perrin Performance Panel Filter
- Perrin Performance Turboback Exhaust
High Boost Map:
Max HP: 335 / Avg HP: 262
Max TQ: 352 / Avg TQ: 295
Max AFR: 13.3 / Avg AFR: 11.7
Max PSI: 25.2 / Avg PSI: 20.1

Low Boost Map:
Max HP: 318 / Avg HP: 252
Max TQ: 320 / Avg TQ: 283
Max AFR: 12.7 / Avg AFR: 11.7
Max PSI: 21.6 / Avg PSI: 19

This setup will be retained for awhile as I need to further develop my driving skills to fully utilize the available power, but I will say the next phase of the JDS Evo X build will include the addition of camshafts, valve springs, turbocharger, and fuel system upgrades.
Stay tuned!
