2013 GSR, Boostin Performance tuned. Baseline to MHI 18k

I never got around to posting my dyno results from stock, to basic bolt-ons, to MHI 18k turbo. Going back in a few weeks for an E85 tune so I'll post those results when I get back.

Here they are. All tunes were done at the same shop, on the same dyno, with 93

Baseline (236/244)
Stock max boost level: 22 psi

Bolt-ons (304/312): ETS intake, UIP, HFC, DP, Grimmspeed EBCS,
Max Boost:26 psi

MHI-18k (352/326): 93 tune Built bottom end, MHI turbo, ETS FMIC, FIC 1100cc, 340lph FP
Max boost: 26 psi

MHI-18k (389/352) E85 tune
Max boost 29 psi

The numbers you have with the 18k on 93 are the same numbers guys run on stock turbo.

On my stock turbo MR I'm pushing more whp whtq then you are. I'm at 27psi

Are your numbers off a Mustang Dyno? If not, you're comparing apples and oranges.
An increase of 116hp and 82tq isn't bad for a very street-able turbo.

Out of curiosity, why an MHI 18K?

Exactly. I also asked for a conservative tune.
I chose the MHI because of the good blend of features such as reliability, performance, and minimal lag compared to stock. This is my DD so my goal wasn't to build a high hp racetrack monster.

I'm just not sure if I need to upgrade the clutch or if my stock clutch will be ok at the new power level

Well, OP did ask for a conservative tune. Sounds like the 18K has some more power to be found.

That does seem a bit low. I have a very similar set up (MHI, ETS, etc.) tuned by BP last summer and made 385/327 on 93 and 26 psi. See link below. Their mustang is very low reading and mine is not a DD but still considered a 'safe' tune.

If you have a built bottom end why go for such a conservative tune? I would think with a strong build even a completely maxed out MHI wouldn't be a huge risk.

Let us know how the E85 tune goes. I'm strongly considering E85 in the near future and it should put me over the 400 whp mark on their dyno.

I'm hoping to be over 400hp on their dyno when I go back for the E85 tune in 2 weeks. I asked for a conservative tune because I had a blown stock turbo/engine prior. I'd rather be safe than squeeze the last drop out at this point. I think you and I have taken a similar path... I used to have an 07 Sti on E85, open dump, stock turbo...putting down 377/350 on P&L dyno..

Gotcha. Did you get your build at BP too? I'm considering this over the winter and would be interested to know what direction you went. PM your number if you want to chat on it.

All mods, labor, and tunes were done at BP (along with the engine build). I'll be back there in 2 weeks for the new E85 tune. I PMed you my number.

It's like 400 whp on a uncorrected dyno. Fun little setup for the street, and increased gas mileage cruising.

Just came across this thread...his gains, with a few more mods, look to net about the same as mine.

26psi is not "conservative".

I'm very confused why the spool up is so delayed as well - what elevation are you at?
I don't see an O2/DP in your mod list, are you running stock? If so, change that immediately lol.

You have a built bottom end, why are you so worried about being conservative? Stock these things will run 375-400tq all day for years to come.

I'm on 91oct and Cobb Tuning got 414/350 out my my MHI on their Mustang Dyno. Not every dyno yields the same numbers regardless of "brand" but your graph concerns me and makes me feel bad for you with all the $ you've put into your baby.

EDIT: Honestly, not hitting peak tq until almost 4300rpm on this turbo is just wrong.....seriously, massively wrong.

I think you are looking at the wrong dyno in that link. He hit 398 whp on a mustang dyno, you hit 352 - considerable different. He also has ~30 wtq as well.
