Kozmic built 08 X MR 471/346
I think you're simply at the upper limits of the stock frame turbo with the restrictive exhaust housing. Back pressure is limiting boost, probably not the wastegate. This is evident by how boost gets up there, and then tapers.
If you had a GSR (manual trans), it would probably be making around 550whp because the SST loses about 7-10% on the manual. And since you're on a mustang dyno, you're also getting about 10% lower numbers. So a GSR with your setup on a dynojet would be right around 580-600 I bet...

You're probably right. Motion Lab tuned an MR with the same turbo and had the same issues. They replied to my post in EvoXForum that they upgraded the gate and still had the issue. They recommended trying the dual port turbosmart and seeing if that works. May just yank the whole turbo kit and exhaust and sell it and get a full frame turbo kit.
Did you do all those mods at once? If not, can you tell me how your spool was affected when you did either cams or the cams and engine build together compared to the turbo alone? I'm just curious how my spool will be affected when I do cams and engine build this summer. Running EFR 7163 twin scroll now with full bolt ons. Peak TQ at 4100 RPMs. I'd really like to pick up 300 RPMs worth of spool or more with a stroker build and cams. If I can get back to stock spool, but with an extra 200 HP over stock, it should be a hell of a lot of fun.
