I have the electric oil pressure and they are pegged at 90 and 89 at idle, hehehehehe, I wonder if I should replace the sensor or the gauge? Any suggestions

When the gauge pegs out that indicates an open circuit. Most common open circuits is you lost the ground to the sender (WK) terminal or the green wire going from the gauges to sender has been compromised. Meaning cut, burnt, rubbed through etc..

The gauge does the initial sweep with no problem. As soon as you start the engine the needle would go to 90 and then stay there and vary when on idle just a bit. It does not peg all the way and not move at all. It will go to 90 when you start the car and maybe go to 89 when idling. I do not think this is a wiring issue because it reads something it is just not accurate.

Thanks,

I got 3 prosport gauges in my Starion. They look really nice and see to work just fine. I got them because I like how they are blacked out when they are off. That and the price was good

Yea I need to reconnect the grounds. I cur the wires to shorts and they now got pulled out of the connector. This time I'll make them longer and solder the wires to the connector like I should have the first time

PM replied. I am also in the market for 3 gauges if we can get the oil pressure gauge issue resolved.

I need a 52mm, boost gauge, oil press, oil temp. I also need an oil filter sandwhich adapter for an 04 EVO RS if this is where the oil/press/temp sensors would go.

Thanks,

Prosport Gauges: the wire harness in the performance series gauge is literally 2 feet. How do you expect the sender wire to reach all the way to the engine bay when it's like 5 feet away?

Thanks,
Yes the oil filter adaptor plate is all you need for the senders to be installed. It has 4 places for senders if needed..

The quick connect wiring harness is not meant to be used to make it everywhere.. It is a pigtail quick connect harness that each user can simply extend the wires if needed as each vehicle is unique.

Sounds as though you may have blown a fuse. Check where you have your red wire going to ..
