If you follow the instructions that have been listed here several times word for word it will work the first time you burn it everytime.

Download the .iso
Burn the image as an .iso
pop it into the nav, it recognizes that it is an update and then you run it.

I've never seen a simpler method/instructions to do something. I suspect people are having problems because they are not burning it properly.

Right, that is for people who are having issues installing it, but a lot of us have to wait for OtakuTTA to release for the new version.

Also people are having to burn like 10-15 CDs to correctly up load the correct files or whatever. Some have even had to take their cars back to the dealership to get new NAVs put in. It just seems to me, the possible headache you have to go through to get it to work would not be worth it, especially running the risk of crashing the NAV player or having to go back to the dealership to get a new one.

Thoughts?
My response was more for this ^ user, because they seem to have doubts.

It works every time, with the instructions I listed.

I'm pretty sure all 3 of those links are the same source, indicated by the same file name. As long as you dont have the most recent MMCS version, you should be fine with any of those listed. As for software, you can use ANY one of those and follow the directions underneath it.

Yes, many people who have currently supported versions have had success.

To find out what loader version you have:
a) hold SET+NAVI for about 5 seconds to enter "Service Mode" menu
b) press Version Indication

I guess I'd suggest using a CD just because that is what i always burn ISOs to. Not sure how much it matters.

I havent tried it yet because I'm wating on the new version.

I PMed OtakuTTA a long time ago asking about any progress that was made, but received no response. Is there anyone else familiar enough with this process to accommodate those who have the new version of MMCS?

Otaku is working on a much better graphical utility to allow us to patch any version of the loading.kwi file. Once he gets that finished, it will simply be a matter of patching the loading.kwi file yourself (either downloaded with the correct version, or pulled from your own unit's hard drive).

His utility will also make it extremely easy to modify the images, etc. used in the MMCS so you can customize it however you want!

There's a preview of this utility on his website if you want to see what I'm talking about.

^ That is how you check the version(application) number:

If the app version is earlier than 00.30.94 you can use the methods posted above, if it is 94 or higher you will have to wait
