Ok, I have read all the forums and posts on the "movie while driving hack" but I am not sure if I'm willing to risk my NAV for the results. Everyone keeps asking if they have found the fix yet, they say yes, but is it truly a fix. The reason why I'm rambling is that some peoples NAVs are crashing, going black, not working. Also people are having to burn like 10-15 CDs to correctly up load the correct files or whatever. Some have even had to take their cars back to the dealership to get new NAVs put in. It just seems to me, the possible headache you have to go through to get it to work would not be worth it, especially running the risk of crashing the NAV player or having to go back to the dealership to get a new one.
Thoughts?

It works every time, with the instructions I listed.

Steps to burn an ISO-image
1. To burn a CD/DVD from an image file when a drive letter is assigned to the CD/DVD burner type the following at the command line:
2. cdburn.exe d: c:\your_iso_file.iso for CD ; use Dvdburn.exe For DVD.
3. Press ENTER.
4. Output similar to the following is displayed:
Number of blocks in ISO image is 2a4e2 - 100.0% done
Finished Writing Synchronizing Cache: burn successful!
Notes: The drive letter assigned to the burner in this example is D and the image file being written is located at c:\iso_2003.iso The default burn speed for this tool is 4x with the maximum burn speed being determined by the speed of the burner. Use the speed parameter to set the burn speed. The max parameter sets the burn speed of the CD/DVD burner to maximum.
i'm sorry, but which are the source that i need ,and which software to burn on ..because there are so many of them .
thanks alot
I'm pretty sure all 3 of those links are the same source, indicated by the same file name. As long as you dont have the most recent MMCS version, you should be fine with any of those listed. As for software, you can use ANY one of those and follow the directions underneath it.

To find out what loader version you have:
a) hold SET+NAVI for about 5 seconds to enter "Service Mode" menu
b) press Version Indication
I guess I'd suggest using a CD just because that is what i always burn ISOs to. Not sure how much it matters.
Yes, many people who have currently supported versions have had success.

I PMed OtakuTTA a long time ago asking about any progress that was made, but received no response. Is there anyone else familiar enough with this process to accommodate those who have the new version of MMCS?

His utility will also make it extremely easy to modify the images, etc. used in the MMCS so you can customize it however you want!
There's a preview of this utility on his website if you want to see what I'm talking about.

^ That is how you check the version(application) number:
If the app version is earlier than 00.30.94 you can use the methods posted above, if it is 94 or higher you will have to wait
