That would tend to suggest you were using the broken copy that was floating around a while back : the key is only required for navigation updates.

OtakuTTA can you post up a version for 30.97?

I'd really appreciate it.

This is the one I used. no problems. It is for 30.94. to check hold down set and nav till the menu comes up and push the button that says "version information" at least that is what I think it is. Burn the iso to a disk pop it in, you will get a box that say update. Do it and then you will be good to go.

I downloaded the one for 20.68 and it worked for mine... Somehow the 30.94 doesn't work for me.

You just need to hold down set and navi buttons at the same time for 3 seconds to get the hidden menu. From there you can see what software version you have so you know what file you need to use.

Hrmm..
No, you shouldn't give up on this..
I'm no longer doing individual version patches.
I have created a gui to allow you to customize and patch various things in the unit..
Release should be shortly.

Wow, that's sounds pretty cool.

OT: How have you been interfacing with the MMCS?

Sounds like we will probably have to pull the harddrive out. Hopefully the GUI is Mac compatible ;-)
