You can't get the iPhone screen up on the MMCS. As for videos, there is no video input for the GSR, and even if there was I'm not sure if you can get videos up on the screen. We also don't get Bluetooth with the GSR, only the MR has it.
i don't know about you guys, but i installed the mmcs navi unit in my gsr. Then i baught the rca video kit from mitsu for about 40$ so now i have the rca connector for my aux to work. I went to the apple store and got the ipod to rca cable and everything works fine. I have had it for about 5 months. The thing is you can only watch the video from your iphone whine you are parked/ not moving. As soon as you start moving the gps and speedo cable pick up the movement and the turn the video off. The only way around it is to cut both the spedo cable and the gps cable and put switches in both lines. The you could watch iphone vids while moving. i know one guy made a software hack for vdvd in motion, but no aux in motion as of yet.

I've tried several times, to no avail, to buy and install this part on my MR. Seems like every time I go to the service guys to get it installed, they end up having ordered the wrong part. I guess their computers are telling them that the GSR RCA part won't work with the MR. Does anyone out there know what the actual part numbers for the MR are? Preferably someone who's actually had the thing installed and can vouch that it really does work.
Seeing as how there are no differences between the NAV units in a GSR or an MR, the connections into the NAV would make no difference either. Just need a competent service person to order the right parts. Its all the same part number and being installed into a GSR makes no difference.
Dan... just an FYI... the Blackberry works well with the MMCS... unfortunately, that's about all it does well... If you haven't already, I would suggest NOT going for the Storm... at least until they provide a MAJOR software update to fix the user-interface issues...

The storm is trash. 8310's the way to go.
I use an Apple iPhone and an Apple iPod with the MMCS and it works just fine.
I used the Apple TV connector and plugged the three cables into the socket behind the ash tray. I plugged the USB cable into a cigarette lighter adaptor and it provides power to charge the iphone or the ipod.
It was simple and it works perfectly.
