Make sure that you unplug the factory bluetooth first. You can do that if you hack up the wiring in your steering colum for the bluetooth buttons. You will have to disasemble the bluetooth button assembly, cut the traces on the PC board for each momentary switch (buttons). Now solder new really small wires to each side of the momentary switches (buttons) and run them back to the buttons on the aftermarket bluetooth controls. Disasemble the aftermarket bluetooth control and solder the other ends of the wires to the momentary switches (buttons) on its PCB. This will cause a remote button press. I've done this to my OEM stereo contol buttons to use with my Carputer.

this thing is down to 109.99 with free shipping on amazon, which is still a ripoff but it looks like a might end up having to pay that much for a wire harness.

anybody see this cheaper somewhere else?

For the people that used this, did it get rid of the volume limiting problem of the Rockford setup? There are tons of threads on this....

Also, how to change CAN settings on the car w/out stock MMCS unit? Things like how the alarm beeps and doors lock, etc...

To change the CAN settings with an aftermarket stereo, you'll need to go to the dealer and have them make the changes (MUTIII I believe). As far as the limiting goes, I'll let you know in about seven days.

Yes, the volume limiting issue seems to go away with an aftermarket head unit.
