unplug the input to your amplifier from the headunit and see if it works, there could be something loading down your headunit to cause it to shut down, if this doesnt change anything then there is a wiring issue or your mito 02 is dead.

Hey guys. Got a few questions here.

Do I need this (MITO-02) if I have the non-SSS Package? (non-rockford fosgate)
Will I need it in the future if I ever plan on getting an amp?

I tried searching everywhere and can't find an answer.

I'm planning on directly connecting speakers to my HU since I don't have an amp lol.

My HU says to use 4 to 8 (impedance value.) Do not use 1 to 3 speakers for this unit.
And my Speakers say Coaxial 2-way speaker system.
Does this mean that the HU and the Speakers aren't compatible?

Excuse me for retarded questions, but I can't really figure em out... Thanks

The Mito-02 is for people with SSS. You will need the regular wiring harness. What HU do you have? Can you post a picture of the rear of your HU?

Does the wiring kit come with the Scosche dash kit?

That image isn't showing up, did the link on photobucket get changed? No dash kits come with wiring harnesses.

I went with a metra wiring harness since it was readily available at the car audio shop I went to. I wouldn't recommend their dash kit though if you're putting in a double din stereo. I had one and the weight of the HU caused the kit to flex creating a rather large gap with the dash. If you're only putting in a single din I have that kit still if you want it. Go to a local shop see if they have one, it shouldn't be around 20-40 bucks. If the shop tells you they only see one for a 2008 and you have a 2010 its the same. Just make sure you get the one for a 6 speaker sound system (SSS comes with 9 speakers).

That black connection from your image is where you'll be plugging in the wiring harness that came with the HU. That wiring harness will then need to be wired to the wiring harness you need to buy. It will be a simple plug in once that is done. The wiring harnesses are pretty much all color coded so each color will match up with the HU's wiring harness colors. Its always good to read the instruction though to make sure this is the case.

Those RCA's (R/SW = rear sub-woofer) are for a sub if you want to put one in. You will not need a Mito-02 for any reason if the only thing your aftermarket amp is connecting to is the sub.

Hope that helps.

Hey that mostly solves everything. Thanks! I will get the metra wiring harness. If I add a sub, do I need to buy a 7 speaker wiring harness?

What's RCA's? does this mean I can connect the sub directly to the HU without having to go through the AMP?

RCA is a type of connector (that red and white connection on the back of your HU).

No extra harness. You will wire the amp to your battery for power, RCA out of the HU to the amp, RCA or wire from the amp to the sub. Your sub will either have RCA connections or just regular wires.

Good luck!

Okay. I couldn't find one with 6 speaker on metra website. The online part that I can find was 70-7005, which connects to 4 speaker Aftermarket HU.

I found a wiring harness from Crutchfield, but I don't know which one to choose.

The 4 speaker is for the regular lancers, you deff need a 6 speaker. That one in the link looks about right and the review leads me to believe it will work. I would call up crutchfield and ask for sure before buying. There has to be a local audio shop around you, look for one and call them up. They usually can get a better price on shipping next day since they are a business.

recheck all your connections, sounds like you have faulty wire connection. If not you might want to look into a new Mito-02.
