will this connector work with this unit without the hassle of cutting/splicing wires?

I ordered the following to install my Eclipse AVN 6620 into my 2010 Evo X:

1. Scosche double din dash kit
2. Scosche wiring harness
3. Scosche MIAX (keeps AUX functional)
4. Metra Mito-2

My question is, will I need #2 and #3, if I already have the Mito-2? Just making sure I dont buy harnesses that I wont be using.

^^ I just installed my Alpine double-din unit last week with only the Metra Mito-2. You dont need any other adapters as long as your new headunit has front and rear preouts. I only had to crimp/solder the power, ground, and amp turn-on wires from my Alpine headunit harness to the Metra Mito-2 harness.

No. The sub just runs off the signal going to the rear channel.

Does anyone know if the stock blue tooth will be functional with an aftermarket head unit if we use the MITO-2??

-----> Just read it a few pages earlier. The factory blue tooth works with out any modifications, since it is not part of the head unit.

really, this is surprising, I would think it was part of the headunit. I know when I use it now in my 2010, the TN shows up on the headunit. So if I take the headunit out, I would think that would be lost?

Is there a way to disable the stock bluetooth, cause if I go w/ an aftermarket headunit, I would think I would want to use that bluetooth over the stock setup. Wouldnt having 2 make things confusing?

Yes, just unplug the interface box. It sits behind the passenger side dash piece. You access it with the glove box removed.

thanks, so it is confirmed, that factory bluetooth can be used, even if the stock radio is removed?

The controls (for making a call, hanging up, and answering) will still work? they are hooked to the interface box, not the head unit?

I guess on incoming calls, theres no way to know who is calling you since the # will no longer show up on the head unit since its been replaced?

kinda off topic, but can someone confirm if the SCOSHE dash kit will fit a 7 inch screen, or would I be stuck getting say a 6.5 inch screen?

Lastly, anyone who has done this, is there a noticable difference in sound quality? does it get rid of that auto volume limitation problem?

so that means that you cant take the faceplate off? I want a HU that is like the stock rockford nav system for the evo. I dont want one that pushes out and sits up in a single din location.

Can someone answer the questions above if you have a chance?
