burning a mp3 cd for mmcs

it looks like mmcs cant read a mp3 cd with asian file names ... is that right? seems kinda stupid ... i mean, i get it that it can't display the filenames or track titles etc, but at least play it?

I have some songs that are not English.. I could rename them but I was hoping it would recognize it.. For example an Ipod does..

in my case, the only mp3 cd that mmcs will recognize are those that have 100% english filenames. it doesnt even display the ????.mp3, it simply says something to the effect that "cd is not readable, eject it"

looks like this is as designed ... stupid.
