Looking to buy a navigation system
Once you remove the oem unit the bluetooth will not gonna work, cause its built-in w/ the factory HU..
More info on the DNX 9980.

The new Kenwood decks were just announced last week at CES. The DNX-9980, DNX-6980, and KVT-696. If you can live without a 7" screen, I recommend the 6980, if you need 7" and all the bells and whistles, the 9980 will kill anything on the market. The current 9960 already does.
And +1 on not recommending pioneer. They aren't up to date on their gps, their bluetooth sucks, and so does their customer support.

I have the JVC KW-NT3HDT. Great HU for the price, HD radio tagging, Bluetooth built in, live traffic rerouting, etc. And it has a volume knob which I love. Screen is a little smaller due to the physical controls, but it works for my purposes.
Most won't like the lack of rear USB input. I'm fine with it.

Are the OEM bluetooth controls still functional after a aftermarket navi install, can a interface be purchased to be able to use utilize them? I know the volume mute etc. can be programmed but I love being able to press and talk who i want to call. i am thinking about the Sony XNV-770BT
