Question Aftermarket Backup Cam problems

Ok, so I had my Kenwood DNX6960 installed, and I've been having a problem with the back up cam- a Boyo VTL420C.

Sometimes it just goes to a black screen, but the monitor has a header stating "Rearview Camera" or whatever it says when initially selected. Another time the screen was completely green. If I select another source, or put my car into Park or Drive then back to Reverse, it still won't work. When I turn off the car completely and restart, it always works again, and for the remainder of the time I keep the car on. This make sense to anyone? Is it most likely a bad ground?

On a side note, the new radio has the worst AM radio reception, far inferior to the stock radio. Any ideas or ways to fix this?

Thanks in advance!

99% probably bad power or ground. I'd check your wiring. I just did the same install on a 2011 Sportback Ralliart. Where'd you tap the power/ground wires? If you tapped the rear lights (reverse/brake/etc) make sure the connection is good. It's a thick wire. If you're using the easy vampire-like cable splices, consider stripping the power and ground wires, feed the power/ground of the Boyo through the middle and wrap it around the exposed wire, then wrap with electrical tape. I had to do this as these power wires on the rear lights were way too thick for the vamp clips you can buy at autozone (which worked for everything ELSE).
