Planning stereo install - stock speakers? Write-ups?

Ive just purchased a 2011 GSR with the non Rockford stereo system. Im currently planning on replacing the head unit and installing a sub with amp. Am I going to run into any issues re-using the rest of the stock speakers and wiring?

This is the same way I approached my Eclipse GSX stereo and it worked great. In the S2000 I replaced all of the factory speakers and definitely appreciated the better quality, but I dont think Im going to have the funds to pull that off to begin with.

Are there any good write-ups or videos detailing the wiring process in the Evo X? Where to/not to run power wires, etc.

So far Ive found this: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/la...lkthrough.html
but that is about it. Pics/Vids wound be great.

Thanks in advance.

You'll [probably] need:
<a href="https://www.crutchfield.ca/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=142MI3019B">Dash surround</a>, <a href="https://www.crutchfield.ca/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=120707005">wiring harness</a>, <a href="https://www.crutchfield.ca/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=12071035">speaker harness</a> (x2) & <a href="https://www.crutchfield.ca/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=142SGMQ656>speaker brackets</a> (x2) (apologizes for the ".ca". I'm a foreigner*. You should be able to find the same parts elsewhere). Each of the bits come with instructions. Best of all: no enmanglifying your wiring.
As for the sub/amp, the battery is in the trunk, which makes the power run short, and the interior bits that need to be moved out of the way while running the wires from the head back are simple enough to figure out (for the bottom cushion of the back seat, for example, lift the front of it and it pops out. And by "lift" I mean "oh my god why is this so tough to pull up?")

* True story, eh.

Edit: and none of the links display as links. Oh well. I'm sure you can muddle through it.

speaker harness
speaker brackets

This is good stuff, thanks. Has anyone taken pictures to document this process? Id like to know what Im looking for before I tear into it. If not, Ill make sure to take pictures when I do my install.

I should note that wiring potentially changes with model year and options (my links were for parts for a 2010 GSR, optionless except for the handling package and dopey wing), so your mileage may vary.

Edit: And I didn't take any pictures. I can do an interpretive dance if you'd like.
