If it's from water running down the handle, then wouldn't it do the same in the rain?

Maybe it's just from the pressure of a water hose.

I always thought that the FAST key system operated by proximity.. ie, if the keyfob transmitter was so close to the vehicle the doors would be unlocked, and if you walked so far away they would automatically lock.

I just have the regular SLOW key.. so I could be wrong on how it works

Good point...when I wash the trunk, doors have to stay closed but: if they were unlocked when I washed the door handle, after one minute the autolock function will relock the whole car.

It happen everytime I wash the car with high pressure water spray.
I park my MR with fastkey in my pcket, lock it, and start washing...
Every minute or so the car flashes (side indicators) once and at the same time the led on the fastkey turns on.
I can assume that washing the door handle maybe let the system believe it's my hand so the car will lock and unlock.
But the same thing happen when I wash the trunk so it can't be like wrote before...
Any ideas?

Thanks
I've had the same issue when I wash my car at the coin wash and use the high pressure hose. I'm pretty sure it's the small buttons on the door handles and the one small button on the trunk. When you hit those buttons with the high water pressure coming from the hose it is being pushed.
I thought I was the only one this was happening to.. lol

I think that are the sensors, not the buttons...
I tell so because if you were right, the trunk will open during the washing!
I'll try to do the same procedure with the car unlocked, if I'm right I won't see any flashes, otherwise (buttons fault and not "hands" sensors) I'll se flashes again.
