Help with oem nav w/ aftermarket sound
I have the oem RF nav and sound. I had all speakers and amps replaced by MB Wuart Q series comp. Front and rear with a 12" sub. A Q series 4.150 amp and Q series 1.1500 sub amp.
They also used a Maxxonics converter to keep my oem Nav head unit.
I then wanted it louder, so I had them add a second Q 4.140 amp, so 1 for the front components and 1 for tge rear.
My installer, said it didn't work, and I need s new aftermarket head unit to add the extra amp in order to get it louder/clearer.
I love my oem nav and want to keep it of possible.
Any pros have any suggestions for me?

Audiocontrol LC2i should solve your problem.

I would imagine that they used the Maxxonics MX-1 converter, which should give you 6-channel RCA pre-outs for front, rear and sub.. and there's not many aftermarket source units that would give you more outputs than that. Maybe the converter just isn't providing clean power to the amps?
If so, the Audiocontrol LC2i that Dean suggested would work, though I would think the 6-channel LC6i would be a better choice.
A similar solution w/more sound shaping features would be the JBL MS-8 processor (LINK), and I think RF has something comparable, as will Alpine with the H800 later this summer. Right now, the best of these solutions is probably the Audison Bit One, but I'm sure any of them would work. I'm not a pro, so it would be best to ask your installer about these options first.
Good luck!

OP problem is taking the stock deck and getting a clear signal out of it then use quality amps and speakers.
IMHO the auidocontrol lc2i or 6 would be the best bet. It takes the stock wattage of the deck, converts it in a low volt pre-out and clears the signal up and gets it ready for your amps.
I suggested the lc2i because fader control really shouldn't be a main concern. the lc2i will output one set of rca's but then you just use yours 4-chan amp from there to go to the fronts and rears.
The Bit One will automatically sum up to eight channels of hi-level input, and with the supplied CD/ DVD will automatically flatten out any factory equalization curve and set input levels.
But.. with all the advanced signal processing options it offers, it's probably overkill for most people. It's supposed to be pretty damn good, though.
