Increasing Brightness/Height of HID?

Hey guys, I'm just wondering is there any way to increase the brightness or height of the stock HIDS? The leveler is currently set at 0, which is the highest, and I'm not too satisfied with how high up the HID's go. The brightness isn't all that impressive either, my girlfriends PNP kit is actually brighter and higher than the EVO x's. Right now I feel like the stock HIDs are no brighter nor cover a larger range than my old Halogens on my Civic.

Will going in and adjusting the level using the screwdriver help? Is there anyway to change the "Bulb" of the HID out for something brighter? If so, what do I need?

Adjusting with a screwdriver should help a little, if you can get to it.. and you should be able to change the bulbs out to something in a different color temperature (ie, more yellowish or more bluish), but I'm not sure if that would actually help at all. And make sure the outside of your headlight assembly is nice and clean.

I'd just try raising the aim up a bit more 1st. Here's a schematic for that..

And if all else fails, just add a lightbar

I love my HID's, it's a world of difference from other cars I've driven with HID's. Plenty of brightness and height, I've had cars flash me on the hwy if I had it set to the highest. (then I'd get mad and REALLY high beam them blind!)

Did you do anything to your headlights recently? Maybe they're not aligned or leveled properly.

you can upgrade to 50w ballast and bulbs for brighter lights.

+2 55w ballasts and stay away from any HID bulb that's above 6000k, 4300 give a nice blue but white output of lights, it's the brightest temperature by far.
