Bluetooth audio in a 2010?

Is there a way to add Bluetooth audio (to stream music from my phone) from a 2011 to a 2010, like you can add the 2010's Bluetooth phone to a 2008? Please don't suggest an aftermarket stereo as I'm not willing to do that.

Don't think there's a way (at least not that anyone's figured out yet).

If I remember correctly, the BT audio streaming was handled by the new FUSE in-dash systems.

There were a couple members here that accidentally got BT streaming to work on the 2010.. think by making a call, then playing music at the same time, or something similarly impractical. There was a discussion about it here..

Not 100% sure, but I think the only options are.. go aftermarket, upgrade to FUSE system (not even sure if that possible/feasible), or wire in just an aftermarket BT audio adapter.

As for an adapter, there's now several different options out there.. but the main idea is to have the new adapter receive the digital audio, convert it, and output the audio into your AUX inputs. There was also a thread about this here..

No prob

Yup, a BT adapter would be the cheapest and easiest route, but it also kinda defeats the purpose of being able to just leave your handset in your pocket, since you'd still have to pull it out to change tracks and whatnot.

Eventually, I'll just be getting a double-din navi w/both BT handsfree & audio streaming built-in. The A2DP profile for streaming stereo started becoming popular in like 2004.. so 8 years later, finally having a new car with BT, but without the streaming (or even a damn USB port) included just really irks me
