Hey everyone I have a 2011 MR with the FAST key and navi. My friend has an MR that he bought used and his doors unlock when he approaches the car. He doens't have to touch the door handle button or the fob. Anyone know how to do this? I searched through the navi equipment settings and couldn't find this. I guess it's some sort of proximity unlock feature. Thanks!

 

My 08 MR also does that.. I don't need to touch anything to unlock.. just stand near the door & it will unlock.. I dont think you have to set anything.. U can try lock the car by pressing the black small button on the handle(dont use the FAST key), see if it work that way..

 

My car unlocks with out touching anything, but I have to reach for the handle. It opens as I'm about to open the door. Plus, in my MMCS I was able to change the setting so that all 4 doors unlock instead of just the default drivers door.

 

I believe the 08' Evos had the touch sensor. It was removed for the following year Evos. Save some money I guess.

 

Jealous. Yea I have the black button on the handle and that works. But my friend with the 08 simply approaches the car, touches nothing, and it unlocks.

 

my 10 mr touring has the black button and you have to grab the handle to unlock.

 

U are right, I just check, my 08' MR has a touch sensor behind the handle.. the car unlock only after I touch behind the handle, didnt realize that before..
