It's not the only way, but definitely the easiest. I believe there are few members here who have loaded their music directly onto the HDD. Requires one to connect it as an extra PC hard drives, and a firmware unlock. Too much of a hassle to add/remove songs frequently, IMO.

I too wanted the FUSE capability that the 2011+ had. I tried to swap my 2010 bluetooth module out for a 2013 FUSE bluetooth module, but found out the harnesses were different.

After a few bad bluetooth adapter purchases (so much money wasted!), I went with this: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_541ISFM...9036265&awdv=c

I hid the unit behind the dash (near the glovebox), and ran the RCA cables through the little cubby in front of the shifter. No visible cables running through the cabin, and can simply unplug the RCA cable if I need to plug something else into it. My phone pairs with the unit automatically. The only thing I wish it had was the ability to control the unit with the stereo/steering wheel controls.

I sort of solved that issue by going with a ProClip phone mount so I can access the phone easily. A bit pricey, but worth it in my opinion. http://www.proclipusa.com/dashboard-..._leftorright=0

So, bringing this back after multiple searches with not a clue. I have 2010 GSR that HAD stock nav and bt. Didn't like all features so replaced with aftermarket. Got a 2011+ navi and bt for free so of course I want to install.

Correct, harness connectors are different, but for the hell of it, we just cut the harness (as it intertwined with main wiring harness) so at least I have the new connector.

Question is, does anyone know how to retrofit add/wires delete wires so the old harness (with new connector) can work for the new bt module?
