First problem with the MMCS, and it came at the worse time! I was three hours away from home, and started my car this morning to make the trip back:

I start the car; the MMCS never even turns on. I shut the car off and try again, still nothing.

After about ten minutes of driving the MMCS comes on, but there is no sound at all. The navigation screen was working, but it wouldn’t even let me switch over to the audio screens. No sound at all from anything.

I stop for gas, start the car to leave and the MMCS never comes on again.

About thirty minutes from the gas station the MMCS comes on, same problem though (only nav screen, no sound).



Anyone else have this problem? Ideas or suggestions?

Hmm, try checking to see if the little ribbon that comes off from the hazard button plate came loose. It's a tiny ribbon, about 1 cm wide and 3 inches long.

Be careful when trying to take that plate off. If it's not loose you will pull it off and its a PITA to put back in.

 

my sound would work on and off for a while. on the back of the head unit i had a connector come loose. pull the head unit and check your connections. if one clicks into place you found your issue.

 

Did this issue get resolved? If so, what was the fix?
