Relocating the Hazard switch and airbag indicators.

I am currently working on having a carbon 3 gauge dash trim piece made for my X. I was planning on just buying a switch to wire for the hazards and relocate it to the glove box. I then took things apart and realized without the hazard switch in place the radio does work, but has no display and nothing can be adjusted. Does anyone have an idea or solution for this? I miss my old evo8's gruppe-s panel and gauge layout, nothing looks clean in these cars and was hoping this would be a good solution. If I could jsut extend these cables to the glove box area or something and make it work there, that would be fine. The Original plan was to move everythhing to the cubby hole underneath but the switch assembly is just too wide to fit. Any of you guys have any ideas? Or a way around this? I am by no means an electrical or wiring guru, closer to the opposite.
