Audio Aux?
Audio Aux?
I have a '12 MR without an Audio Aux. I was surprised when I found out it didn't come with one.
I know where it should be, but when I take out the black plastic square under the temp controls, it's empty. I do however have a USB port in the passenger side glove box compartment.
Question is, can I just install an Audio Aux port in the OEM position? Or would I have to get a new radio with an Aux port?
The USB bugs the hell out of me as it takes forever to start up and like a good 10 seconds to change songs. I know this sounds trivial, but it's the little things that get to me.

I have no Navi. Only basic dash radio. I think you're right for people who do have Navi, but for basic non-Navi models, it should be directly under the A/C controls behind a black plastic square flip door.

So yeah, basically my response here is worthless but I just wanted to be subscribed to this thread and also to ask you to report back if you get a definitive answer.
I just read on another thread that all lancers 11 and newer had the fuse thing that allows you to stream via blue tooth. might be worth looking into

I have that standard in my MR. The BlueTooth stream quality is bad. Noticeable static can be heard.

i have the 2013 MR base no nav no satelite. fuse and usb only. just in case you have yet to figure it out, yes you can just buy the aux inputs from the dealer and the wire exists right around the area where the inputs mount to. mine does not even come with the harness for sirius sat. but bluetooth on my fuse works really really great.
in the cubby under ac control behind that plastic tab you should have the white and red plugs that are used for the aux. Have to buy a red/white to headphone wire for aux. but i don't use it anymore, have an ipod plugged permanently in my glove box to the usb connection
