TMC Antenna = N/A
Hey Guys, I bought an Evo X GSR 2 months ago and I decidedto upgrade the base radio system with the OEM Navi which I love. Didn't want to lose the OEM bluetooth and look all day at those ugly Metra and Scosche. I know the gap between the double din and the dash would kill me!!
Anyway I got the MZ360390EX and installed it, everything works except RTT. When going to the hidden menu, I can see the settings of the canbox TMC Antenna = N/A. I was told the Mitsu's real time traffic was based on RDS which only requires the regular antenna. I don't have the sat antenna since i don't plan on getting Sirius. Can anyone point me in the right direction. I used to own a 2010 Mitsubishi Ralliart Premium with the MMCS but there was no traffic option back then, now that the Navi supports it, I still cant get it to work!!
Can anyone point me in the right direction. The only other post I found was a guy with the same problem as me and his problem was never resolved.

Yes, theres an extra wire on the back of your MMCS that needs to be hooked up. The mechanic at the dealer was convinced that wire was to make the rear DVD player work on the Outlander or something like that. I hooked up that brown cable and pouff the traffic started working!
Have a look at this thread :

Where it says, "I believe that is where cable tmc" is a fact, as soon as I hooked up the cable, TMC got enabled and its been working for the past 2 years

Im looking at the instructions that came with my MMCS. One manual is for the Outlander and the other manual is for the Lancer. That wire is not listed in the Lancer instructions but it is listed in the Outlander which explains why the mechanic didn't hook it up. On the Outlander instructions it is listed as the A-3 Harness but doesn't specify what it does.
So this is simply bad instructions from Mitsubishi's part.

Yes that's the correct part number. It costs 45$ from this site which is where I bought my Nav and Install kit except that cable is INCLUDED when you buy the MMCS unless you bought it used and whoever you bought it from didn't give it to you for whatever reason.

No I didn't receive it with the nav unit...not having that cable certainly explains why the TMC is not working...
I got the unit from a salvage for 500$ so I can't really complain
I'll just buy it from that website, thanks!

When you register on their site you will not be able to select Canada for shipping. All you have to do is email them via their "Contact Us" tab, it was always the same woman who made my invoices manually...Sharon or Tracy ..cant remember her name.
