ipod will not load

2011 gsr with sss non-navi: my ipod nano (one gen ago) is not loading via the usb port. it just sits there "loading", but never plays. ipod says it's connected. i've driven at least an hour with it like this thinking it would just load eventually, but nothing. i have the latest firmware (v11) updated to the stereo and no change. any ideas? i've searched and found threads where it takes a bit to load, but found nothing about not loading at all. 16g ipod nano. thanks for any help.

My iPhone 5 never finishes loading ever if that makes you feel any better. I haven't tried to troubleshoot the issue though. I have MMCS though. I don't really have a use for it that way since I stream over bluetooth but I wanted to at least try. Might give a go with an iPod classic I have around somewhere :P

have the same issue with my 2011 GSR. my ipod was working for about 6 months and then one day it wouldn't play...just said load. I thought what you did too...a lot of songs...might take a while to load, but it never played. I just went out and bought a usb drive and loaded songs on it and that works. the bluetooth still recognizes artists and albums if want to use that to change songs.

just go with an 8 GB flash drive. $15 and more songs then you will ever need for a car ride, plus it's easy to delete and replace songs down the road.

Does it load well onto the navi screen? Like the song titles and album names? I will definitely try this tonight. Sounds much better than dealing with iTunes and iPods.

I'm having problems with iPhone 5 with Bluetooth.
Have a 12 mr, it does not load for the iPod selection.
So I use the Bluetooth to connect for music, but it keeps freezing up saying Bluetooth pause, wtf is that?

Insert 3 different USB sticks with 1 mp3 on each. Let play for 30 secs each. Then insert ipod as the 4th device and wait a few minutes.
