Aux port whine
Aux port whine
I've searched and pretty much read every thread related to this. Really didn't find any fix. It's the alternator whine when I have it on aux. Radio+cd player does not do it. Really annoying
Does anyone know what the fix is for this?

This is a common problem with AUX in on any car.
A good ground loop isolator might fix it. I had to do that with my mazdaspeed3 to clean up the sound when my iphone was charging and playing through the phono jack for AUX.
Is this strictly with phono jack?
Is this the RF system with optional AUX jack?
Do you have the option of playing through bluetooth or usb?

I do not have the SSS package and there is only a red/white RCA cable connection that I convert with an adapter to a single head phone jack to my phone. I havn't take out the cd player to look behind it yet. Just wanted to get some input before i start digging into something.
replace the ground wire from your battery to the chassis in the trunk with a good 4 gauge ground wire from a stereo shop (only need a foot)
if you want to take it further, then you can replace the ground wire from the engine to the chassis ground, this is located by the coolant tank up front and about a foot long.
get a better shield cable for starters and avoid adapters
