Fog Light Bulb Replacement

Hey guys, I read through threads that mention getting under the car and taking some shrouds off.

Could you just remove the fog light grill cover with the screw then the fog lights themselves to reach the bulb?

That is what I did in my VW and it seems easier than getting under and removing the shrouds.

Thanks!

It doesn't take too long to remove the skidplate underneath, you could probably just get the front half of the plate off and drop the front and reach back and replace the bulbs, super easy to do, I took my skid plate off and it took me a no more than 1 minute to replace both bulbs.

buy some ramps and you'll see the plastic covers underneath where the fogs are. gotta get a flat head screw driver so you can pop the fasteners out. the first time i changed mine, took like 45 minutes because i couldn't figure it out...the second time...like 10. the hardest part is getting under the car.

Now I just have to hope that my fogs don't go out! Just getting the car is going to be a stretch, and it'll have to be a bit before I can go out and pick up ramps and all the other goodies that the EVO ninja will require.

It's super easy and was the first thing I did, along w LED daytime running lights. All you need is a flathead and about 30min.

On a stock car I don't even think you would need ramps, it would just make it easier.

if your driveway has a side walk, you can roll one side up on it, and then use your jack in the trunk to jack up the other side.

I replaced my intercooler AND the front fogs at the same time.. so much easier with the bumper off ;-)

I havent done it yet. The manual says to do it under the car but you might be able to unscrew the one screw in the front fog grills to remove them. Then unscrew the fog lamp from the car and replace the bulb that way.

you have to get under the car and take off the plastic shield that protects the bottom of you intercooler...and fogs...by popping those plastic tabs with a flat head. there are also like three or four metal bolts you need a socket wrench for. remove that plastic and you will see where you can grab the fog light bulbs...then all you do is twist and remove. the hardest part is getting under the car...and making sure you don't break the plastic tabs when you remove them.
