lancer evolution x illumination package

I was wiring up some interior lights last night and i wired the lights to the fuse box under the dome light fuse so it can have constant power. As i was doing them i was thinking... I wish i knew how Mitsubishi did that.. Under what fuse would i tape into that would allow me to have the aftermarket interior lights i install turn on whenever i unlocked my car door or opened the doors..? Does anyone have a clue what fuse this would be? I now know its not the dome/interior lights fuse.

Thanks.

it actually runs off a relay somewhere, but I haven't traced it out yet. Someday I will.

I did find that the Evo X is prewired for a rear 12v outlet tho. There's a panel behind the arm rest. if you pop it off, there's a plug for an outlet there. Then, under the cup panel, there's an undone empty plug and a male plug. When you click them together...tada! You got 12v power outlet lol

Well it would have to be something that controls the voltage timeout. I can figure it out and will post it.

Huh! The RA already has the 12V outlet in the console - why wouldn't the EVO? [shrug]

But it is and doesn't help your original question. I apologize.

I am interested in the answer as well - but because I want to start booting my stereo sooner and need a 12VDC signal that is activated with the door unlock.

I like the idea, however you will still lose constant power when you start the car. having a 12V accessory lead that kicks on the stereo when you unlock the doors is cool, but the stereo will cycle power when you start the car. sorry. Cool idea though.
