lancer evolution x illumination package
Have any pics?
Also, any idea what the OEM footwell LED kit consists of? I would assume it should be mostly plug and play, meaning some sort of plug/connector that might save the hassle of all of this wire tracing and tapping/splicing. You might be able to buy it, plug it in, then splice whatever crazy LEDs you want into that harness.
...unless of course it doesn't come with a harness and instead gives you some T taps or something. Anyone have any experience with the OEM kit???

Anyway, Since my car came with the illumination package already i installed LED lights into my MAP lights and DOME lights and under my DOORS. That is what i was asking how to do in the beginning. I ended up wiring the LED's under the panels and used 20lbs double sides tape to make sure they stay there for a long time threw winter and summer.

Here is what i did. LED under the door panels. They shine VERY BRIGHT inside the interior while the doors are shut and it simply looks amazing on the ground. Did it on all the doors. When the car door opens it opens up to 120 LED's that shine the ground and gets so much attention it is sexy lol. Not to mention i put LEDs in all the map lights and dome lights. I wired these lights to a on and off switch i placed under my steering wheel.

So I just received my kit and thought I'd post an update. I didn't have time to snap any pics and upload them yet - I'll try to do that this weekend.
But basically, the kit has a passthrough wire with a male and female connector and the little wire section in between is essentially T-tapped. So, you unplug a connector from the fuse box, plug it in to the female end of this kit, then plug the male end of the kit into the fuse box. It's just like a T-tap but you're just clipping in plugs rather than cutting any wires (which makes me feel a lot better about the mod).
I will say though the instructions basically have you remove your entire dash (gauge cluster, head unit, glove box, trim strips, plastic panels by the doors, etc.). So, this might not be something for the faint of heart. I might try to do something different to avoid damaging my car. maybe just splice longer wires into this kit and run under the dash somehow... at least I'm not butchering up the OEM wiring this way either.
Like I said, I'll try to get pics of the kit and some of the instructions up soon.

just a thought to whomever reads this. the fuse could be before the relay therefore the fuse has constant power. Battery+> 10amp fuse> 12v relay> lamps/cigl ighter/cluster etc. wire diagram would tell what's true.
