idatalink maestro sw install question
hi!
I'm in the process of installing a idatalink maestro sw and have a question. I've installed it according to the wiring diagram given from idatalink's website but can't get it to work. I'm hoping that someone can help me out? The unit blinks green once i turn on the car but i don't see the LED turn red on the maestro unit once i hit any of the steering wheel buttons? I have the following hooked up accordingly. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I'm wondering if i should solder the blue and black wire instead of using crimped heat shrinks? It's also safe to assume the base lancer model is the same as the evo diagram through the idatalink website?
TIA for any help!

I've got mine hooked up to a 8100NEX. I'm gonna try reversing the black and blue wire. I know it's getting power since the I get a green LED for a split second when I power it on, so I think it's the blue and black wire causing it not to work.

On the 12voltData forums the iDatalink tech said this to a users:
"Check your wiring. The most common mistake in this firmware is that the gray/red is not hooked up to accessory power. If this isn't hooked up, the Rr can not stay powered up; it will work for a few seconds and then turn off, like you're describing."
The user then did this and it worked. they described the same symptom.
