trickin the MAF?? I though we all got that out of our systems when with the DSMs

So the only part is a MBC?? No injector or anything to trick the MAF??

Also, lets all remember that tricking the MAF is not the best idea. Just wait for proper engine management ideas.

What do you think piggy backs do? lying to the ECU is an old well accepted way of tuning a car (not the best way perhaps), and will continue to be a common way for a long time, specially when there is nothing else to do it with.

So your using a piggy back?

I know how piggybacks work. Your right, they have been used to make power for a long time. Still I think there is better ways of engine management.

In this case it would only be a sercret cuz the OP said that this power was achieved with a boost control and some "tricks". If "tricks" really mean, "i hooked a SAFC or some other piggyback to it" then that what should be said, not "tricks".

there are other tricks, like adding a resistor in-line which lowers the voltage (think fuel-cut defenser). there also may be a fine-tune adjustment for the MAF sensor itself like on DSMs.

Several tricks.

1. Potentiometer in the circuit for the temp sensor in the MAF (temp warmer/less fuel)

2. Put a filter on the BOV fitting on the MAF pipe to pull in unfiltered air (leaner).

3. Potentiometer in MAF signal itself (same as AFC but non adjustable by RPM, just fixed % for all RPM)

Those are just a few off the top of my head from the old days.
