Unhappy Need Some Advice

I just had a BOV and manual boost controller installed on my X yesterday and it all seemed to be working fantastically until about 2 hours after the install. Listed below is a rundown of all the problems I have had within 24 hours.

First problem:
Check engine light

Second problem:
The idle RPM at rest was 2000

Third problem:
My car began running at a higher temperature than usual

Fourth problem:
MPG sucked

Fifth problem:
Coming to work today and while passing another vehicle, I let off the throttle and the blow off valve activated. I then switched gears and gave the car more throttle but nothing happened. It was as though I were in nuetral, but unlike being in nuetral, when I gave it gas, the cars RPM's didn't respond to my throttle input, and in fact my car just would not respond at all, although it was still running. I coasted into a parking lot and turned it off. When I restarted it, all was running normal again except that my CEL was still on.

I need advice on what could possibly be the problem. I had my parts installed by a well known and reputable shop here in Houston, TX. Oh and what may also be of importance is that the Blow off Valve and Maunal Boost Controller were purchased from Agency Power.

Please help me with this fellow X owners

Exact same parts and issues. I have appt with Vivid on Monday to finish ECU tune and see if the issue going into limp mode can be fixed. Turned down the MBC about half a turn and it seemed to help a little. Hopefully will have more some answers on Monday.

yea that happens to me at least 3 times a week. I carry a scanner/CEL clearer with me all the time.

Theres actually 3 stages of the problem.

First, the car throws a code and will idle at 2k

Second, the car will still be able to be driven but 80% throttle feels like 30%, you almost need to floor it to get anywhere

Third, The car goes into limp mode, idle surges from 1000-1500, wont go over 3k, and gas pedal becomes unresponsive for up to 5-6 seconds at a time

Take off the MBC and the pointless BOV (ricer) and get a ECUtech flash. Problem solved.

No.
Nothing will void your warranty faster than that manual boost controller you already have on there.

like everyone else is saying...

ECUTek and a tune - take off the MBC and BOV You don't need it.

The stock BOV is acutally a VERY strong unit. i'm making 350 ish whp/ 349 ish tqe and it is holding up like a champ... the ECUTek has the capabilities to control boost, I'm using it, along with a lot of other people w/o a MBC and boost is as good or better, then a standalone MBC.

and like Noize stated... if the stealership pops your hood for warrenty work and see a nice colored VTA BOV and a MBC... kiss your warrenty good bye. The ECUTek is undetectable to the naked eye.. no one will ever know you have it, unless the dealer happens to look into your ECU Maps.

Just my .02

Exactly! The dealership won't know you have a different maps or anything.
