WORKS EVO X P2 Dyno chart

Just wanted to post a recent dyno graph from an EVO X P2 Flash.
This is a before/after. The car came in with a drop-in filter and bolt-on muffler.

This is a good representation of what we've been seeing from our flash, although we have seen steady improvement as the flash gets further refined.

I just had my car recently reflashed with Ecutek at Road Race Engineering, and I was fortunate enough to see what tables were changed with Ecutek. There were like 4 tables to control the boost/boost limits so that car won't go into limp mode more trigger CEL. And obviously there were usual tables to change for AFR, Timing, and MIVEC.

Does Work Reflash modify all these tables like Ecutek? I'm not trying to put down your product, but Ecutek software for EVO X is really impressive. And now, you can even change the Rev limits. Can Works reflash do that? What tables does it exactly modify?

From what I've heard this software was able to control more aspects of the car then the Ecutek. They are even able to control the rev limiter and factory 2 step. Something Ecutek just implimented this week.

You are correct.

"FlashWORKS", the flashing software we developed in-house for the CAN bus Mitsubishis (indluding '08 Lancer), can change any and every individual byte in the ROM.

There are 20 boost related maps that we have identified to date. That's how we are able to control boost effectively with the P2.

The factory 2 step and rev limited were identified many moons ago and in fact, there are 2 rev limiters. One up and one down for the CY4A and CZ4A vehicles.

Are you guys going to sell the software for other tuners to use and do custom dyno tunes for their customers? Or is the plan to keep it in house and do mail-in flashes and dyno tuning only to local folks?

Dont know if this is me or not, but here is my dyno chart. I had WORKS do this 5/22/08. Mods so far are WORKS drop in Filter and HKS axle back exhaust. I am very pleased with the results and would highly recommend this for anyone. My car was on the dyno for about 7 hours. For $600, you cant beat the service and effort put into this tune. Peak boost ended up at about 25 psi and tapered down to 18 at redline.

I have been told that if your X was equipped with keyless "Smart Key" option it will no longer work once the re-flash is complete is this true?!?!?!

No offense, but the whp looks low, and your torque seems to kick in about 1,000 rpm late. I have 200 ft/lbs of torque around 2,000 rpm, yours around 3,000 rpm. I've included my dyno graph tuned from RRE on dynapack. I saw another vehicle with just catback and filter, he made around 330 whp, and his baseline was 248 whp on dynapack.

No offense taken. My car only has an axle back exhaust. That could explain some of the difference. As for the rest, my A/F was very conservative. probably somewhere closer to 11 to 1. I only have about 4000 miles on the car, so we chose to go with a little less power and boost. Also, you can also see that my car only made around 240 whp baseline. So I already started 40 whp lower that you. If you look at the gains made, they are pratically identical. Peak torque and peak horsepower are at around the same rpm. You can never look at the horsepower numbers on two different dyno's and exect them to be the same. But look at the gains. I see you gained about 50whp and 35 wtq, pretty much the same as me.

My base line had FMIC, Test Pipe, Exhaust, Intercooler Pipes, Intake, etc. My stock base was around 240 whp., 280 with Mods, 350 whp with Mods & Tune. So the total gain is 107 whp. We're comparing with same type of dyno, "dynapack" It peaks around the same, but your car needs additional 1,000 rpm to get to 200 ft.lbs of torque. Do you have AFR graph? My car was tuned very conservatively for Tracking.

My car gained more than 70 whp with tune, you've gaine 45 whp. I don't see how that's the same.

Mike@ RRE tuned a car with just a catback and drop in filter, and the car is putting more than 330 whp on dynapack (same dyno Work is using). That's almost 90 whp gain. I don't think it mods, it's the tune.
