None of the dealers around here can spell reflash let alone know what it is. Im going to have get a tune cuz im having the problems everyone else is having, manufacutured NOV 07 will getting a tune without getting a reflash harm the ecu in anyway? Should i get the reflash if im going to tune the car anyway?

In evo X general there is TSB bulletins.. Technical Service Bulletin, with the reflash code on it.. Take the TSB code to the dealer and have them look it up.. Then ***** at them cause you are doing thier job for them.. Get'r done... Good luck.. No relashing does not hurt the ECU..

Tuning nowadays IS reflashing.. Piggybacks are a thing of the past.. But once you get your parts installed, you will need another flash to optimize them.. But that would have to be handled by an outside tuner.. But at least you can get the dealer to flash it for nothing, for now.. And enjoy some of the new power that will be added before your parts come in..

Find the salesman who sold you the car and explain you're getting dicked around and its making you mad. Be angry and show it. Make sure not to say "recall" but TSB and give them the number. Schedule an appointment for it if need be.
Dealers suck.
The tune would fix the car a lot more than the reflash would. But thats a $700 dump. If the openECU is only a few months away I can not personaly justifying the $700 for software I can't play with.

well, IveyTune is located in Linden, NJ, which is not too far from Philly. He's already done a bunch of Evo X's, so I would call him to see what he can do for you. He will definately get you making more power! Number is (908) 925-8700 or e-mail him at sean@iveytune.com. Awesome group of guys there.

Dynoflash/Buschur tune is 575 on their website. 2nd Reflash TSB I think is 08-13-011. Well worth getting especially for free. Made my car run way smoother and Im pretty critical of how the car drives.
