To all X owners using the Profec B

I am having trouble with controlling my boost wit the Greddy Profec B and i was wondering what the other evo x owners have their boost % , gain and set gain to and what psi they are running! please help!!

My car is modded and tuned, but later on i'll go outside to the car and write down the settings that i have for low boost. maybe that help out a little at least.

Sorry, left to get a haircut and forgot to get you the numbers. Here they are and I hope they work out for you. Let me know how it goes.

i have my set at 80% and im still only boosting 18

My "hi" setting will have you boosting between 25-26.5 psi. I don't know what you have done to your car, but if you need those let me know and i'll hook you up tomorrow

Hey if you are untuned then it will never be perfect. I had it on untuned and had to take it off then got it tuned and it works good now.

yea thats what i was thinkin also but did your car throw into limp mode and CEL ?

The most common reason for seeing low boost on a Profec B is from not removing the factory cap in the 3rd unused port of the boost control solenoid.

interesting info, cause i overlooked that a few times when i first installed it.


to the op, my car throws a CEL light sometimes, i ran the code and it was "fuel pump out of range" . But it usually turns off.

im having this same problem now, i took my car to get a clutch installed and before it was running 20psi at around 55% i think but now i turned it up all the way to 80% after i got the car back and it wont go past 18.4????? does that sound like a leak that was caused when they did the clutch job?

it could be you have a leak if they removed any IC piping... do a boost leak check and you'll find out
